UNIBO students in Hong Kong for GAME-TEI Summit 2024

The theme of the 2024 Summit is “Inter-cultural co-creation in planetary health, healthcare professional education and entrepreneurship.”

This initiative has been held annually since 2019. In 2020, during the pandemic, it was organized online by UNIBO on the topic of artificial intelligence (link). This year the meeting is held from November 11-13 and is hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Here is the composition of the 2024 UNIBO team:

Among other activities, the UNIBO Team will present a poster prepared under the supervision of Prof. Carlotta Lunghi, titled “Bridging the gap between planetary health and medical education: the paradigms of PlanED Prescribing - Planetary Health Education in Prescribing and TRIGGER - soluTions foR mItiGatinG climate-induced hEalth thReats”.

OVERVIEW

The GAME-TEI Summit for Future Leaders 2024 is a three-day event that brings together aspiring professionals from diverse backgrounds to explore critical global issues including planetary health, healthcare professional education and entrepreneurship. The Summit features keynote speeches, future leaders’ forum, panel discussions, cultural excursions and collaborative projects, all designed to empower participants and foster a shared vision for sustainable healthcare professional development. Since the inaugural GAME- TEI organised by Nagoya University in 2019, this year is the first time for the programme to be open to non-GAME universities for the first two days of the event to extend the impact and nurture more future leaders.

GOALS

Through this Summit, we aim to achieve the following goals:

• To facilitate cross-cultural exchange and provide networking opportunities to build a diverse community of future leaders.
• To equip participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to drive sustainable development and planetary health initiatives.
• To promote interprofessional education and highlight ethical leadership principles and the integration of social responsibility into professional decision-making.
• To cultivate an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to address complex global challenges.
