Immunology Laboratory

The research activity is focused on 1) the study of the immunology of hemopoietic stem cell transplant in patients with hematological malignancies; 2) the study of the minimal residual disease in patients with acute leukemia.

Research projects:

  • Transplant Immunology with focus on acute and chronic GRAFT VERSUS HOST DISEASE.
  • European project: Multiple donor regulatory T cell infusions for severe refractory chronic Graft Versus Host Disease after allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
  • Study of the minimal residual disease in patients with acute leukemia by next generation-flow cytometry analysis.

 

Teaching:

  • Transplant Immunology lessons at the Hematology Specialization Course of the University of Bologna.
  • Students of the Internship of Biology and Biotechnology-Master’s Degree courses of the University of Bologna.
