Impact of the use of electronic devices on binocular single vision and sensory-motor fusion mechanisms
Public call for expressions of interest for study support.
DIMEC is active in the field of ocular motility, amblyopia and neuro-ophthalmology research.
In the last decade, a rapid change in the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of patients with strabismus is being observed, and a decisive role would seem to be linked to the use of electronic devices. In fact, the rapid spread of such devices, for work, educational and recreational purposes, is changing today's society and promoting excessive near work.
With this notice, the DIMEC intends to acquire funding to support the educational pathway of a doctor within the study project entitled 'Impact of the use of electronic devices on the mechanisms of single binocular vision and sensory-motor fusion', scientific heads prof.ssa Piera Versura and prof. Luigi Fontana
