Doctor for a week

A career guidance initiative for secondary school students which, through practical simulations and interactive activities, allows them to discover the medical profession and career opportunities in the healthcare sector up close.

Project description

The ‘Doctor for a Week’ project offers high school students an immersive experience to learn about the medical profession and career opportunities in the healthcare field. For the duration of the project, they will be able to observe the daily activities of professionals, participate in interactive simulations and familiarise themselves with the latest technologies and methodologies used in the sector. During the five days of this project, students will have the opportunity to attend an interactive clinical assessment involving various systems of the human body, such as the integumentary, sensory and cardiovascular systems. Through this hands-on experience, they will be able to observe first-hand how clinical investigations are conducted and gain an overview of the new technologies used in the medical sector, from artificial intelligence applications to 3D modelling.
