Radioisotopes Laboratory - Via Belmeloro

Laboratory for the labeling and application of nucleic acid probes labeled with phosphorus 32.

In the laboratory, methods are developed for the molecular hybridization using probes labeled with phosphorus 32, which are required for the in-depth study of gene expression (Northern Blot). The activity is authorized for up to 2,500 μCi/year.

Instrumentation available:

  • Refrigerator-freezer Ariston Hotpoint with safety lock.
  • Cyclic thermostat MJ PTC-100.
  • Centrifuge ALC 4235°.
  • Microcentrifuge ALC 4214.
  • Beta scintillator LKB Wallac 1215 Rackbeta II.
  • Geiger counter RAM GENE Rotem.
  • Incubator for hybridization Biometra OV1.
  • Water thermostatPBI.
  • Horizontal agitator 711.
