Departmental Joint Teacher-Student Committee

Each department has a Joint Teacher-Student Committee which, as its name suggests, is composed of an equal number of teachers and students.

It is provided for by Law 240/10 and the University Statute.

It is regulated by the Department's Operating Regulations.

Functions

The Joint Committee plays a decisive role in the University's quality system with regard to teaching and student services for all the Department's degree programs. The student members play an active role, contributing their points of view, observations, and suggestions for improvement.

The Committee:

  • formulates opinions on the establishment, activation, modification, and suppression of educational offerings;
  • may submit proposals to the Department Council on issues relating to teaching and the allocation of financial resources;
  • drafts an annual report on the teaching activities of the degree programs for which the Department is responsible.
