First Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Meeting

The goal of the first Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Meeting (AI2M) is to bring together clinicians and engineers to develop integrated solutions and deliver healthcare products that leverage decades of advancements in computer science. AI2M focuses specifically on procedural medicine, utilizing all available data sources in this field to improve clinical outcomes, safety, and efficiency.

A key focus of the meeting will be on robotic surgery and surgical simulation. Despite the growing popularity of robotic surgery, current platforms are largely used as extensions of the surgeon's capabilities, without fully harnessing the vast amount of data collected (such as video and kinematic data) to enhance surgical outcomes.

Additionally, the meeting will address regulatory and medicolegal issues related to data and AI in healthcare. Roundtables with regulators and administrators will provide a platform for discussing opportunities to accelerate the implementation of these technologies.

We believe Europe, with its vast pool of talent in both healthcare and engineering, is the ideal location for such a meeting.
